Creating your first map
Using map modes
MTS includes two main mapping modes:
- Oblique maps are a sideways-facing view that shows lighting effects.
- Terrain maps are a top-down, 'fullbright' image of the world.
There are also various modes you can lay over the top of a terrain map for extra data:
- Cave maps show the layout of all caves in the world.
- Spectrograph shows the density of a certain block type in a 'heat map' style.
Support for automatically producing a terrain map with one of these data overlays will be included in a later update to MTS.
